No one knows for sure who borris really is. We’ve tried to find out here at SonicBoZo RECORDS but usually hit a dead end somewhere near Hollywood and Vine. There are plenty of rumors, but because he never plays live and only communicates via email, it’s next to impossible to get any solid leads.

The mysterious image he promotes portrays him as some kind of independently wealthy genius. Who knows? Maybe that's the truth but his assistant tells us he lives in a run down apartment building somewhere behind Vons on Sepulveda, plays all the instruments himself, never writes down lyrics, and records on an old AMPEX 4 channel reel to reel machine using a microphone he supposedly ‘found’ behind Clover Studios on Sunset.

One thing we do know for sure about borris is that he really seems to hate labeling music by genre. When first pushed to describe his music's genre, he got real serious and told uss it was a combination of ‘Traditional Beat Pirate’, Circus Metal’, and ‘Burning Dollhouse’, mixed with a bit of ‘Wannabe Hasbeen’ and possibly elements of ‘Hobo Mom’. We figure it's better to ignore borris' input regarding genres and just sit back and turn it up. Listen to ‘Huh’ by borris and see what you think.
